Hadi and the July uprising

In July 2024, student protests against the quota system for government jobs grew into a nationwide uprising. In August 2024 the government of Sheikh Hasina fell, and she left the country.

Hadi was among those who took part in the uprising. It became the turning point of his public life: the platform he went on to co-found, Inqilab Moncho, grew out of the movement.

The history of the uprising itself — its events, the people killed and injured, and the question of accountability — is documented in its own archive.
